SILVA
Forged Through Loss. Fueled by Passion. Driven by Music.
Some music is born from inspiration. Other music is born from survival. For SILVA, it's both.
The story began in 2013, when drummer, songwriter, and musician Lonnie Silva joined forces with
his son Kyle to form what would eventually become Blacklist-9. United by a shared passion for heavy, uncompromising rock music, the band developed its own distinctive sound and eventually secured a recording contract with New Jersey-based Eclipse Records.
Blacklist-9 went on to release two EPs, Mentally Ill, Legally Sane and Fed By Destruction, both produced by Shawn McGhee. These recordings captured the raw intensity, creative energy, and undeniable musical bond between a father and son pursuing their passion together.
Then tragedy changed everything.
The devastating loss of Kyle Silva brought Lonnie's musical journey to an unexpected halt.
What had once been a shared dream became a painful reminder of everything he had lost.
Lonnie stepped away from music, taking time to grieve, heal, and navigate a life forever changed.
But the music never truly left him.
After a two-year hiatus, Lonnie found his way back to songwriting, rediscovering the creative fire that had always driven him. Reuniting with longtime producer and collaborator Shawn McGhee, he began shaping a new musical vision — one that would honor the past while forging an entirely new path forward. That vision became SILVA. A 10-song debut album entitled, "Deviate To The Norm" brings together an exceptional lineup of musicians from across the hard rock and metal world, each contributing their own distinctive talent, experience, and musical intensity.

Featuring guest musicians associated with Hoobastank, Gemini Syndrome, Crashing Wayward, Flat Black, Drowning Pool, Sass Jordan and L.A. Guns, the album is a powerful collaboration of accomplished artists united by Lonnie's songwriting and creative vision.
At the heart of SILVA is Lonnie himself — the driving force behind the project, contributing drums and strings while writing the music that defines its sound and identity.
The result is a deeply personal yet undeniably powerful debut album, fueled by years of experience, raw emotion, and an unwavering commitment to authentic rock music. More than a return to recording, SILVA represents a new beginning — one built on resilience, musical brotherhood, and the determination to transform life's most difficult moments into something meaningful.
And while the music stands firmly on its own, the heart of SILVA carries a legacy that will never fade: the unbreakable bond between a father and son whose shared love of music started it all.
SILVA isn't simply a comeback. It's a continuation. A new chapter born from a lifetime of music, an enduring legacy, and the determination to keep moving forward.
The past shaped the music. The future belongs to SILVA.
